Jason Kyle + The Process

Ebb is to flow, as trial is to error.

Its been a trifecta kinda day...

First, we lose Ed McMahon... A household name and face and the last connection for me, at least, to the real Tonight Show w/ Johnny Carson. He terrorized us all with Publishers Clearing House. I'll never forget that mans laugh.

Then we find out this morning that Farrah Fawcett finally lost her battle to Cancer. I didnt watch the coverage on her thats been on for weeks it seems, but what I did catch was heartbreaking. I almost want to say that its probably better that Farrah said good night. It sounded like she was really suffering. I will always remember her as that gorgeous girl in the red bathing suit with her lil nips poking out, enticing a young boy to stare. Charlies Angels late night re-runs on Nick at Night. She was a staple of my youth. My thoughts go out to her friends and family... Ive been through the battle of Cancer and the wake it leaves, its hard on loved ones and the ramifications wont be felt for a long time.

But Michael? Whhhhaaaaaaattttt? My Aunt Dottie and Uncle Gerald gave me a kids bible in like 1979, and I stuck Michael Jackson stickers all over it when I was old enough to know that book was just like any other book. I moonwalked. I longed for the red jacket with a billion zippers. I had the glove. I played the games. I was indeed a fan.

Then he got all weird. And I got older and the times were a changing. Ive watched over the years as Michael fell farther into obscurity and became a freak show in his own rights. But I never stopped rocking Thriller or Off The Wall. My Mom keeps reminding me that my Dad dedicated "Lady in my Life" at the wedding. We were entrenched in MJ during the 80's.

I have a general motto in life when it comes to art... always keep the art seperate from the artist. On that note... we lost a brilliant man today. Good night MJ, and rest well. Oh and dont worry, Paul will take good care of your catalog.
