Jason Kyle + The Process

Ebb is to flow, as trial is to error.

Where everything is not the same...

Day 3 of the Internet Retailer in Boston, we took off on foot to feed the belly. We ended up in a few bars, had bar food, then off to find a Boston hoody. Found this area, no idea where it was, but it was all outdoor and indoor shops and bars and restaurants. Which one of the restaurants was Cheers! Oh yeah! Cheers is in Boston!

Apparently, this one was just a tourist knockoff, but through some random interrogations, the real one was called Bull and Finch, and was - you know - down the street, left here, round the building, back of the park, bing. Ok? After what might have been 30 mins of constantly asking directions, and getting lost, We ran into a couple of fellas wandering to the bar and these guys and one in particular, Shaun I believe, or Shane. Good, good guy. He gave us a mini guided tour of Boston of the bits we walked through on the way to the Bull and Finch. State Building, Boston Commons, Beacon Hill, Gardens... And bam. Cheers!

Back story: I was born in '76, I grew up on Cheers. Everyone knew your name... Norm! Yeah... Cliff and I were bff.

In the photos, you see the outside looks perfect. I'm freaking out like... effin Cheers! Unreal right? You walk in and its soooo not Cheers. Its this tiny room, bar on the wall, no office. No Pool table in the back. No restaurant upstairs. There is a hall, but its gotta gift store, photos of the cast. There is an upstairs, but there's what I think a hotel, and a "set" bar but its definitely not the bar.

W.T.F.

So I thought for some reason... I had the idea that this location and back story was the place. Sam Malone did exist, but the recession had forced the bar to let him go (unconfirmed). Ironic. So it was a let down.

But. I did steal a mug as replacement for my crushed expectation. Was that wrong?
